Infectious Disease Physician

Overview

Part-Time Infectious Disease Physician Position in Kuttawa, KY with National Wound Physician Group. Clinical satisfaction, autonomy and flexibility, work-life balance. No nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in facilities across a network of over 3,200 facilities in 28 states.
• Be an expert in wound management and participate in a wound fellowship during onboarding; training provided, including a 6-month wound care fellowship.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Document at the point of care in real time during rounds using our proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Travel within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location, visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Practice Overview

• Full-time work: Monday – Friday (7am–4pm) or part-time available; part-time minimum is 3 days per week; full-time is 4–5 days per week.
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius.
• Our physicians visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation is at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Paid training is provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship.
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available).
