Senior Project Manager – Property & Buildings
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll provide end-to-end project management and consulting services across a diverse portfolio of property and building projects. You’ll work closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-performing projects that balance technical excellence, commercial outcomes, and positive environmental and community impact.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading and managing property and building projects from feasibility through to delivery
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their explicit and implicit needs are met
- Preparing and managing project delivery plans, including scope, programme, budget, resourcing, and risk
- Delivering high-quality investigations, analysis, and reporting to support informed client decision-making
- Collaborating with technical specialists across local, national, and international teams
- Contributing to business development through client engagement, proposals, and market presence
- Championing health, safety, and quality across all project activities
About you
You’re an experienced project manager within the Property & Buildings discipline, with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering quality outcomes. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are confident engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Ideally 10+ years’ professional experience in engineering and project management in a related property/buildings discipline
- Proven experience managing projects, including budgets, programmes, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of relevant New Zealand standards, legislation, and best-practice project management frameworks
- A client-centric mindset with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
- Excellent communication, collaboration, high attention to detail, strong organisational ability, and the resilience to thrive in a busy, changing environment.
