We’re currently seeking a Service Supervisor to join our John Deere team at Rutherford.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Small Engine Technician ready to step up, or a current Supervisor with strong small engine experience looking for a genuine lifestyle change in the Hunter Valley.

About the Role

Based at our Rutherford branch, the Service Supervisor plays a key role in supporting workshop operations, leading technicians and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service, including customer feedback and advice over the phone
  • Monitoring and managing daily workflow and ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • Assigning work to Service Technicians, addressing employee concerns, and coordinating in‑house training
  • Liaising with the Parts department as required to support workshop efficiency
  • Assisting with customer dispute resolution in conjunction with the Service Manager
  • Ensuring timely completion of warranty and WIP requirements
  • Reviewing all repair work prior to release to the customer

About You

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Strong small engine experience
  • Previous supervisory experience or a senior technician ready to step into leadership
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop a team
  • Current and valid driver’s licence
  • A mature, logical and methodical approach to work
  • High‑risk work tickets and/or licences will be highly regarded
