Trading / Cargo Operator (d/f/m)
— Hamburg, GermanyWe are looking for a commercially driven Trading / Cargo Operator to manage and execute physical oil and/or LPG trades end-to-end, combining operational excellence with active commercial involvement. The role sits at the intersection of trading, logistics and contract execution, with direct impact on trade performance, risk exposure and P&L.

- Manage end-to-end execution of physical oil and/or LPG cargoes across FOB, CIF, DAP and similar structures
- Coordinate vessel operations, nominations and scheduling in line with contractual obligations
- Review and align trade recap, contracts and charter party terms to ensure consistency and risk control
- Handle shipping documentation including bills of lading, certificates and customs requirements
- Monitor cargo movements and liaise with terminals, inspectors, agents, owners and counterparties
- Track operational performance and identify risks and inefficiencies across the trade lifecycle
- Support traders with commercial input on logistics and deal structuring
- Identify and capture commercial opportunities to optimize margins and reduce operational costs
- Process demurrage and other claims, ensuring timely submission, analysis, and resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of required operational information in the CTRM system
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in physical oil and/or LPG trading operations
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, charter parties and operational risk management
- Solid experience handling demurrage, claims and contract interpretation under industry GTCs
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate operational insight into trading value
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills across internal and external parties
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
- Ownership mentality with a structured and detail-oriented execution approach
