Cabin Products Engineer

Boeing Global Services are looking for a multi-skilled cabin products engineer, to support the design, qualification, and certification of interior cabin products. Candidates should have a background in the electrical, systems, or mechanical aspects of cabin products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Cabin Products Engineering Manager and working with global engineering teams, across multiple time-zones, to identify technical requirements and their associated solutions for active and upcoming projects.

Leading and/or completing the development, qualification, and certification of new interior cabin products.

Providing technical oversight and guidance of cabin product development projects to global cabin product teams, including adherence to engineering and drawing requirements and processes.

Serve as Subject Matter Expert supporting cabin product development projects, including participating in design reviews and mentorship of other engineers.

Generating test plans and reports to support product qualification.

The ability to work independently under minimum supervision as well as in a team environment, and to be able to adapt to a changing work statement, is necessary.

Collaborate and communicate between multidisciplinary teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree within Aerospace/Aeronautical.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Experience developing and qualifying new aircraft cabin products.

Recent experience completing qualification of components to Boeing D6 or DO-160 environmental requirements.

Experience developing and testing to component reliability requirements.
-
Experience in the design, analysis, and qualification of electomechanical aircraft cabin products. This experience could be in the electrical, mechanical, or both aspects of the products.

Experience with Boeing’s engineering processes and systems.

Experience working with a global team outside of traditional hours.

Prior development of a new product from initial concept through product introduction and support.
