Change lives for young learners as an i Kids Star teacher in Utsunomiya! We are currently recruiting candidates under a temp-to-perm arrangement. Successful applicants will begin as YARUKI Switch Career teachers, dispatched to an i Kids Star franchise school in Utsunomiya. After approximately three months, including training, teachers will transition to direct employment with the franchise school. This arrangement allows YARUKI Switch Career to provide initial logistical support, helping teachers smoothly transition to the franchise school. Depending on individual needs, this may include assistance with visa sponsorship or housing arrangements. Once established with the franchise school, that school will provide ongoing support, including visa renewals. i Kids Star operates both directly managed and franchise locations. Directly managed schools are owned and operated by YARUKI Switch Group, while franchise locations are independently owned and operated under agreement with YARUKI Switch Group. Please note: specific conditions, including work hours and benefits, may vary slightly depending on location. ◆ About Utsunomiya Utsunomiya is the capital and largest city of Tochigi Prefecture. It offers a more relaxed lifestyle and generally lower cost of living compared with larger urban centers, while still providing easy access to Tokyo (about one hour away). Our curriculum, based on U.S. and U.K. early education standards, covers phonics, math, arts, drama, and more, with a focus on physical education developed by our sister school, Ninja 9. At i Kids Star, we help children express themselves bilingually, develop cultural awareness, and grow into confident, independent learners. ◆ Job requirements ・Have native-level English proficiency* ・Have at least a two-year associate degree or valid working visa ・Are independent and creatively minded, ready to innovate and adapt in any circumstance ・Can be team-oriented, passionate, enthusiastic, and creative in your approach to teaching children ・Have a strong sense of professionalism and are self-motivated ・Prior experience with children (teaching or otherwise) is preferred *Our curriculum puts emphasis on pronunciation and phonics practice. While we, of course, welcome English speakers from a variety of countries with varying dialects and accents, we ask that you are able to effectively teach and express these concepts in a phonetically natural English environment.
