Baker (accommodation provided)

For our client, a leading Irish food and convenience retailer in Co. Galway, we are looking for a Scratch Baker.

Candidate information/requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have at least two years of work experience working as a baker or bakery assistant
• Previous experience with food preparation and bakery products preparation from scratch (bread, pastry, cookies, sweet goods, etc.)
• HACCP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety Protocols knowledge would be a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
• Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate level of English is required

About the job:

• Permanent, full-time position
• Early morning shifts starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM depending on the rota
• Opportunity to work in a well-established bakery operation with a team of 5 people across bakery and support roles
• Accommodation can be arranged for approximately €120–€150 per week (+ utilities).
• Salary range: approximately €37,000–€38,000 gross per year, depending on experience
• Hourly rate: approximately €17 per hour
• Salary is paid weekly
• Your duties will include: weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough, baking different types of bakery products, shaping dough to prepare pastries including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls, tracking food supplies and placing orders as needed
