My client is a leading national provider of three‑waters maintenance and construction solutions across New Zealand. Due to a recent contract win, they are now seeking to recruit a Process / Chemical Engineer to oversee their operational performance, compliance, and optimisation of their water treatment plants in Thames–Coromandel.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
- Managing daily operation and optimisation of multiple water treatment plants
- Ensuring efficient, safe operation and maintenance of treatment facilities
- Achieving full compliance with resource consents, drinking water standards, and environmental regulations
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on plant performance and water quality
- Leading investigations and implementing corrective actions following non‑compliance events
- Completing all regulatory reporting for council and relevant authorities
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent)
- Ideally a degree NZ Certificate/Diploma in Drinking Water or Wastewater Treatment (Level 4+)
- 2–3 years’ New Zealand based experience in water treatment operations
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Practical experience with SCADA systems and plant equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical reporting
- Full Class 1 driver licence (manual)
