We are recruiting a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a well-supported regional service in beautiful Tasmania.
Based in a scenic coastal location, you’ll enjoy the rare blend of professional challenge and exceptional lifestyle. Surrounded by rugged mountains, wild coastline, and pristine lakes, this region offers unspoilt beauty and space to breathe.

Why Tasmania?
Tasmania offers something increasingly rare: space, community, and time.

  • Here you can finish work and be on a walking trail, mountain bike track, or at the beach within minutes.
  • There’s no commute stress. No overcrowding. Just highquality medicine and a genuinely balanced life.
  • If you’re considering a move interstate or from overseas, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding longterm career in a region that values your expertise.

This is a rare opportunity to practise broad-spectrum O&G in a modern Level 4 maternity service, while enjoying the professional influence and work–life balance that metropolitan roles often can’t offer.

  • Level 4 maternity and neonatal services
  • 8-bed ICU on site
  • Established Midwifery Group Practice
  • Accredited RANZCOG training site (FRANZCOG core and Advanced Proceduralist trainees)
  • Colposcopy and laparoscopic gynaecology services
  • Strong links with the University of Tasmania

You will provide specialist care across obstetrics and gynaecology, contribute to teaching and research, and help shape the ongoing development of regional women’s health services.
The on-call commitment is approximately 1 in 5, shared within a supportive senior team.

The Package – up to $550k
benefits may include:

  • 35% private practice allowance
  • 20% Retention Allowance
  • Fully maintained vehicle or $28,786 motor vehicle allowance
  • Generous relocation assistance and accommodation support
