Senior Data Engineer – Mobility-as-a-Service Company

The role is Senior Data Engineer supporting a global mobility-as-a-service platform operating in thousands of cities. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure for the Corporate Data team enabling workforce analytics, recruiting insights, employee engagement tracking, and organizational health reporting. Key responsibilities: Design and maintain ETL pipelines using Airflow or similar orchestration tools; develop data infrastructure supporting analytics across the organization; work with distributed processing frameworks (Spark, Hive); write production-quality code in Python, Java, Scala, or Go; ensure data reliability operating 100+ pipelines with strict SLAs; investigate complex data issues and root-cause failures; partner with Data Analysts and stakeholders; troubleshoot dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy). Required: 5+ years data engineering experience building and maintaining infrastructure/pipelines; strong SQL expertise (joins, aggregations, unions, window functions); data modeling and schema design for analytics; ETL pipeline development; Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, Spark); programming in Python/Java/Scala/Go; UNIX/Linux and shell scripting; software engineering best practices; strong collaboration and communication skills.
