The Role

A senior, hands-on leadership role at the intersection of data centre operations, remote hardware provisioning, and distributed infrastructure. You'll own the technical relationship with our Hardware Providers (HPs) - the operators who supply the bare metal compute and storage that powers ICN. This is a founding-team-level hire: you will help set the north star for the entire team.

What You'll Own

Hardware Onboarding

• 
  

  End-to-end technical onboarding for new Hardware Providers

  
  


• 
  

  Remote installation tooling, validation pipelines, and SLA testing

  
  


• 
  

  Direct troubleshooting of connectivity, firmware, BIOS/BMC, and OS-level issues

  
  

Data Centre Operations

• 
  

  GPU cluster management: bare-metal provisioning, InfiniBand/RoCE networking, NVMe/distributed storage

  
  


• 
  

  Hardware standards across the provider network (GPU types, networking, storage configs)

  
  


• 
  

  Operational playbooks lifecycle management, and capacity planning

  
  


• 
  

  Primary escalation point for hardware incidents

  
  

Service Provider Communication Layer

• 
  

  Real-time messaging and alerting interface within the ICN console

  
  


• 
  

  Escalation workflows and SLA communication protocols between ICN, SPs, and HPs

  
  

Team Leadership

• 
  

  Lead and grow a 7-person infrastructure engineering team

  
  


• 
  

  Hire, onboard, and develop engineers as the function scales

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute directly to architecture and code across GPU provisioning and the control plane

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  

  8+ years in infrastructure, data centre, or systems engineering; 3+ years in technical leadership

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience at the hardware - software boundary: IPMI, PXE, BIOS/firmware, NIC configuration

  
  


• 
  

  Strong Linux, cloud infrastructure, and data centre networking background

  
  


• 
  

  Experience operating hardware onboarding pipelines across large, multi-region server fleets

  
  


• 
  

  Startup DNA - you've built things from scratch and move fast without sacrificing reliability

  
  

Bonus: GPU infrastructure (H100/A100, InfiniBand), DePIN/Web3, internal developer tooling, real-time operational consoles
