As an Ocean Forwarding Customer Service Representative, you’ll be the key point of contact ensuring smooth shipment handling, timely communication, and accurate documentation across global trade flows.
This position is ideal for someone who:

🚢 Your Core Responsibilities – Import Operations
- Hands-on manage ocean import shipments end-to-end from booking to delivery.
- Closely keep shipments on the radar, ensure accurate system visibility and inform all stakeholders proactively of any delays or exceptions.
- Closely coordinate shipments linked to our warehousing and cross-dock services.
- Ensure timely and accurate transition from operations to the finance departments.
- Collaborate with sales to create clear SOPs for new customer setups.
- Maintain Compliance in a complex global environment together with the Quality Team.
- Deepen the relationships with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction and opportunities to grow business.
- Providing proactive (out-of-the-box) solutions for complex shipments or irregularities.
- Ensure smooth overseas coordination with over 200 stations in an international environment.
- Always focus on continuous improvement to optimize work-flows and systems as CargoWise One.
💡 Cross-Learning Opportunities
- Export Operation: Morrison handles export shipments to destinations across our global network. With awareness of compliance on the Asia, USA and intra-Europe trades you will be able to support the export team when required to ensure that shipments move in a timely and compliant manner.
- Cross-Trades: Many of our customer base handle a big variety of shipments across different lanes and regions. As “Control Tower” you will be able to support these cross-trades learning about different (operational) requirements across countries and ensure that local customers are aware of these practises.
🌍 What You Bring
- Hands-on experience managing ocean import shipments end-to-end.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent time management skills.
- Clear and professional communication in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with freight forwarding systems and milestone tracking.
- Team player attitude and a proactive, customer-first approach.
