We’re looking for a backend engineer who can deliver reliable, scalable cloud services and help us maintain high engineering standards.
- Language: Fluent in English / Polish
- Experience: 5+ years of backend development, with at least 3 years in AWS serverless environments
- Tech: Strong Node.js / TypeScript / Python
- AWS proficiency: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Cognito
- DynamoDB: DynamoDB data modelling (GSI/LSI, access patterns)
- Python: Python for scripting and data processing
- Security best practices: JWT, IAM, secrets management
- DevOps knowledge: CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure as code
- Collaboration: Clear communication within our international team, ownership mindset, and strong attention to quality (including in code reviews)

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Backend Developer to join our cloud engineering team. You will design and build scalable serverless services in a production AWS environment, working closely with our senior international team on a platform that processes large volumes of media in real time.
- Design and build serverless backend services using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and DynamoDB
- Implement secure authentication and authorisation flows with AWS Cognito and OAuth2/OIDC
- Build and maintain asynchronous processing pipelines for document and image workloads
- Contribute to API design and backend architecture decisions
- Integrate AI/LLM tooling to improve code quality and development workflows
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering standard
At Photocert, we build media forensics solutions that help clients trust what they see. Our platform detects and localizes tampering in digital images and PDFs, enabling insurance and enterprise teams to verify the authenticity of submitted content at scale. In this role, we’re expanding our cloud engineering capabilities to support a production AWS environment that processes large volumes of media in real time. You’ll design and build scalable serverless services that power our end-to-end document and image processing pipelines, working closely with our senior international team.
