About Our Client
Our client is a rapidly expanding manufacturer with this site generating over $100 mil in annual revenue.
Job Description
- Lead full month‑end close, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Produce board packs and management reporting with clear analysis and insights.
- Oversee AASB 16 lease accounting, fixed asset management, capitalisation, and disposals.
- Supervise two accountants, review their work, and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain and review GRNI and PPV accounts, performing variance analysis across cost centres and projects.
- Manage year‑end close and coordinate annual and special‑purpose audits.
- Partner with site operations to support cost control, budgeting, and commercial decisions.
- Assist with rolling cash‑flow forecasting and monitoring project budgets vs actuals.
- Prepare monthly BAS lodgements; fuel tax credit exposure advantageous.
The Successful Applicant
- Available immediately or at short notice
- CPA/CA Qual or working towards
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (firm grasp of AASB16 highly advantageous)
- A background in FMCG/Manufacturing/Construction or adjacent ideal
- Strong experience with WIP accounting and high value assets
- A genuine ability to partner and build rapport with operational stakeholders in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership experience ideal but not a non negotiable
- Experience with Pronto a bonus
