Tech Lead Databricks Data Engineer

Mitre Media is redefining FinTech with AI-driven tools for millions of investors. As Tech Lead Data Engineer, you'll architect and maintain the data backbone powering features across the product suite, reporting to the CTO. Design Databricks-based ETL pipelines, model complex investment data, and surface low-latency datasets for user-facing features and internal AI/analytics workloads. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale ETL workflows in Databricks (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, DBT); developing algorithms to transform raw market data into actionable insights; owning data quality and lineage with testing, monitoring, and alerting for mission-critical pipelines; evolving the cloud data platform (AWS & GCP) for scale, performance, and cost efficiency; and mentoring engineers in best practices. Required skills: expert Python plus Scala or Java; hands-on Databricks & Spark experience with cluster tuning and Delta Tables; strong analytical SQL and DBT knowledge; production experience with AWS or GCP data services; solid ETL and orchestration understanding; and data modeling expertise. Nice-to-have skills include Apache Airflow, Luigi, or Dagster; Looker, Tableau, or visualization experience; financial markets domain knowledge; and ML/statistical background.
