IB MYP Physical and Health Education (PHE)

Due to our continued growth, the school is currently seeking an experienced IB MYP Physical and Health Education (PHE) teacher to join our secondary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction and learning experiences, while fostering intercultural understanding, communication skills, and a passion for language learning. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education. If it’s in a related field – must have a valid teaching license or accreditation. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching secondary school students. Able and experienced in teaching the IB programmes: MYP PHE. Ability to teach a diverse range of students and have an inclusive education approach. Strong (English) verbal and written communication skills. Consistently demonstrates a high level of professional conduct and attitude. Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices and responses. Approaches to teaching and learning: Understand that our school purpose: mission, vision, values and guiding statements drive all aspects of teaching, learning and wellbeing. Ability to work collaboratively and form effective relationships with colleagues by consistently demonstrating the SIS Core Values. Through effective implementation of the IB principles and practices, committed to student-centred approaches to learning. Able to differentiate teaching and learning practices and tools to meet a diverse needs of students. Have a proven ability to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in their students. Willing to embrace diversity within our school community. Understands and caters for the holistic and diverse needs of our students and the learning community. Committed to the ongoing growth and development of oneself and the school community. Have a purposeful and meaningful approach to technology use and acquisition of digital citizenship.
