Coordinator of International Relations

JOYTALK is now accepting applications for a Coordinator of International Relations to be placed in a municipal office in northern Tochigi Prefecture, in the northern Kanto region, from April 2026, with training from the end of March. Work as part of the Lifelong Learning Section, in order to boost foreign interest in the location, increase citizens' awareness of English, promote the sister-city student exchange program as well as promoting international understanding and providing support for foreign residents. The work may involve administrative work at the municipal office, organizing or hosting events off-site, joining various tasks or events at public schools including teaching when required, participating in the organization of a group of students touring the sister city and joining them on the trip if required, etc. ● REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must: ・ be native speakers of English ・ possess JLPT N1 or N2 certification ・ have a license valid for driving in Japan ・ have at least a bachelor's degree from a university ・ be willing to commit to at least the end of the fiscal year at the end of March 2027, with the possibility of staying longer. ・ enjoy working (written and spoken) in Japanese ・ be a team player ・ enjoy working with adults and children Applicants would also be highly regarded if they have previous business experience in Japan ● CONDITIONS & BENEFITS: ・ Work at a public office from Monday to Friday for 40 hours a week, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. ・ The salary will depend on qualifications, experience, Japanese language skills, etc., and as such, will range between 230,000 and 250,000 yen per month. This salary is not pro-rated in any month. ・ We pay a capped monthly transportation allowance that will vary depending on work conditions. This is paid ON TOP OF THE SALARY, not included as part of it. ・ Paid leave would be available from April 2026. ・ Enrollment in the company's social insurance system (shakai hoken). ● SUPPORT ・ Joytalk has been recruiting foreign staff for more than 43 years.
