Founders Associate (m/f/d)
— Cologne, GermanyRAKETENSTART is hiring a Founder's Associate to work as the right hand of our founder Madeleine. Partners, legal content, product quality, operations. Whatever needs to move, you move it. Whatever needs structure, you build it. Whatever slips, you catch it.
RAKETENSTART is the digital legal infrastructure for founders and SMEs in Germany. 1,000+ company formations already processed, notarial processes automated end-to-end. The vision: the legal operating system for every company in Germany and later Europe.
Small, senior team. Fast decisions. No bureaucracy.
Madeleine Heuts is the Founder & CEO of RAKETENSTART. Diplomjuristin by training, software developer in practice, one of Germany's most visible voices in legal tech. She's an Advisory Board member of the NRW Ministry of Economy, a regular panel speaker and was awarded as Digital Female Leader. She built RAKETENSTART from zero to 1,000+ formations processed, and has built big parts of our platform herself. Working with her means direct access to someone who operates at the intersection of legal expertise, product thinking, and AI-native execution. You'll learn more in six months than in five years at most companies, and you'll have a front-row seat to one of the most ambitious legal tech bets in Europe.
Four areas, roughly split:
Partner Management & Operations (30%)
- Ownership of relationships with notaries, tax advisors, and partner law firms
- Acquiring new notaries in high-demand cities
- Onboarding, training, and running feedback loops with partners
- Monitoring and improving operational formation processes end-to-end
- Building partner playbooks, SLAs, and internal documentation
Legal Content, Community & Communication (30%)
- Customer-facing legal content with our partner lawyers: articles, guides, FAQs, website copy
- Translating complex legal topics into language founders actually read
- Planning and running webinars, events, and community formats
- Supporting LinkedIn and Instagram content where legal expertise is needed
- Onboarding communication for new partners
Product Quality & Customer Insights (25%)
- Quality control for legal content, templates, and processes across the entire platform
- Ensuring content accuracy: is the content correct, do the flows work, is the legal logic sound
- Bundling customer support know-how from the team and translating it into structured product feedback
- Collecting all feedback, insights, and pain points and passing them to the product team in prioritized form
- Ownership of the feedback loop from customer to product: what's actually broken, what's noise, what deserves priority
- Working closely with support to turn recurring issues into product improvements
Direct Founder Support (15%)
- Supporting Madeleine on strategic topics, product discussions, and internal projects
- Preparing presentations, workshops, and team materials
- Taking full ownership of special projects end-to-end
- Being a real sparring partner on product, communication, and business decisions
Plus hiring. As the team grows, you'll own parts of sourcing, screening, and candidate coordination.
Background
- 2-4 years of experience in a fast-moving environment: startup, legal tech, law firm, consulting, or similar
- Legal affinity is a must. A law degree (Jura, Wirtschaftsrecht) is a strong plus, not required. You read contracts without flinching, talk to notaries on eye level, and produce legal content with partner lawyers
- Proven experience managing external stakeholders. You've briefed, coordinated, or negotiated with lawyers, advisors, or service providers before
- Writing experience. You can turn complex topics into clear German that a first-time founder actually reads
- A feel for product quality. You notice when a flow isn't clean, a piece of content is confusing, or a process has holes
Mindset
- You are extremely structured and organized. You track processes, goals, and progress, and you don't let anything slip. Topics don't fall between the cracks on your watch
- You think in systems. You don't just solve problems, you build the process so the problem doesn't come back
- You communicate with partners on eye level. You don't shrink when a notary or tax advisor pushes back
- You're AI-native. Claude, Make, Notion AI, Make are your daily tools. You automate recurring work instead of doing it manually
- You ship. You take end-to-end ownership. You don't need tasks broken into micro-pieces
- You operate in ambiguity. You structure the chaos instead of waiting for structure to arrive
Language
- Native-level German (C2 / Muttersprache). You'll communicate with German notaries, tax advisors, and law firms daily
- Fluent English for internal communication
- Full-time, fully remote within DACH, with the option of working from our Cologne Coworkingspace
- Direct collaboration with the founder, no middle management
- Real ownership across partners, legal, content, community, product quality, and hiring
- Exposure to every part of building a legal tech company from the inside
- Budget for AI tools and anything that makes you faster
- A fast career path. This role is built to grow with the company
Open to candidates with the legal right to work in the EU. No visa sponsorship at this time. DACH-compatible timezone required (CET ±1).
Send us:
- CV or LinkedIn profile
- One short paragraph: describe a situation where you managed or briefed an external partner (lawyer, tax advisor, service provider). What was the situation, how did you approach it, what was the outcome?
- One short paragraph: something you've recently automated or systemized using AI tools, and why it mattered
- One paragraph about yourself: why we need you. Not why you want the job. Why we'd be missing out if we didn't hire you.
