The Tester & Quality Assurance – AI Solutions role sits within the AI Centre of Excellence in Internal Firm Services at PwC and is responsible for assuring the quality, reliability and responsible use of AI solutions
The role leads end-to-end testing across AI agents, workflows and supporting systems, actively coordinates testing activities with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders, and conducts AI-specific evaluations (e.g. accuracy, bias, robustness and explainability). It also plays a key role in risks, technology due diligence and compliance activities, ensuring controls are designed, tested, evidenced and formally approved prior to release
Your day-to-day could include:

Develop and execute test plans, cases and scripts for AI agents and supporting systems

Perform functional and AI-specific evaluations aligned to Responsible AI standards (accuracy, bias, robustness, explainability)

Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with delivery and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully validated

Validate data flows, prompts, model outputs, guardrails and production controls

Support and coordinate risk, security, privacy and regulatory due diligence activities,

Identify and track defects, risks and control gaps to resolution

Partner with product, technology and risk teams to support approvals and releases

Maintain clear, auditable testing documentation and quality reporting to support stage gates and go-live decisions

Essential
-
Three or more years' experience in software testing, quality assurance or technology risk roles.

Experience testing complex digital or AI‑enabled solutions.

Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management and quality metrics.

Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including concise documentation.

Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience

Certification in software testing, quality assurance, risk or security.
Desirable
-
Experience testing AI agents, LLM‑based solutions or data‑driven systems.

Exposure to responsible AI, privacy, security and compliance by design practices.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test and defect management.

Professional services experience or other complex multi stakeholder environments
