Untold Japan is a travel agency exclusively serving high-net worth individuals and luxury clients by creating tailor-made, bespoke tours all over Japan. Our customer base is growing rapidly, and we are now seeking tour leaders to lead our customers on bespoke tours around Japan. *Please read to the end for cover letter requirements, any applications that do not meet this will be automatically rejected. Responsibilities: ・Building itineraries: Build customized itineraries to meet the specific needs and requests of your guests. ・Tour Organization: Organize the routes, transportation, and activities for tours. ・Tour Guiding: Conduct captivating tours throughout Japan, providing informative and engaging narratives to clients. ・Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients by addressing their needs, customizing their itineraries, answering questions, and ensuring a memorable experience as you lead them around Japan. ・Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of our clients, ensuring an enjoyable and personalized tour experience. ・Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, written and spoken, and preferably business-level proficiency in Japanese to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and business partners. ・Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, planning, and booking teams to contribute to the development of tour itineraries and enhance the overall customer experience. ・Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating tour logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and activities. Research: Contribute to a growing database of research for locations, culture, and history of Japan. Requirements: ・Tour Guide Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience as a tour guide is preferred OR showcasing a deep understanding of and passion for Japan's culture, history, and attractions. ・Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally business-level proficiency in Japanese. ・Customer-focused: A customer-centric approach with a dedication to providing exceptional service to clients. ・Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the needs of diverse clients and handle unexpected situations with professionalism. ・Availability: Preferably available to start immediately. Must be living in Japan, preferably the Kanto area.
