Practice Nurse – Dubbo, NSW
Immediate Start | Relocation Assistance Available | Registered Practice Nurse with GP Clinic Experience | Permanent Full-Time

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy General Practice Clinic in Dubbo, NSW. This role requires an immediate start, and the relocation package includes accommodation assistance for the first 3 months for those willing to relocate for the position.

About the Clinic / Role

  • Work alongside a team of 4 GPs (1 full-time, 3 part-time) and 1 other Registered Nurse
  • One of many clinics overseen by the same Healthcare Provider
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and patient support
  • Full-time permanent position with immediate start, open to part-time appluicants who are suitable. Also open to Enrolled Nurses with Clinic experience

Day to Day:

  • Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance. Duties include triage, immunisations and other injections; wound management, chronic disease management, ECG’s and collection of pathology samples. Assist doctors with clinical procedures. Maintain clinical documentation.
  • Oversee cold chain process, awareness, responsibilities and documentation of cold chain process.
  • Monitor infection control standards and implement changes / educate.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role.
  • Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, Diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques..
  • Proficient in Medicare item numbers and Best Practice software
  • Strong ptient care and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice, such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups, aboriginals & Torres Straight islanders, etc.
  • Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women’s Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification/education, Accreditation in Immunisation.

Salary: $40-$45 per hour (based on experience) + Superannuation

Relocation Package: Accommodation assistance for the first 3 months for those willing to relocate on a permanent or fixed-term (12 months minimum) contract.
