Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Enablement Team (GCP, Golang, Python)

Join Canva's Cloud Enablement team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on building and evolving cloud governance capabilities including the Compliance Engine, Cloud Account Factory, and metadata systems that enforce guardrails and ensure compliance. You'll abstract cloud complexity for engineers by designing foundational platforms and services for seamless cloud deployment, and drive operational excellence across cloud infrastructure in collaboration with Engineering Governance and Core Infrastructure teams. Requirements: Proficiency in Golang or Python with willingness to upskill in the other; strong computer engineering fundamentals; deep GCP knowledge (GCE, Cloud Run, Cloud IAM, Cloud Identity, Cloud Storage, BigQuery); cloud architecture experience for scalable and secure solutions; fluency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform); ownership of goals and ability to mentor others; curiosity and collaborative mindset. Preferred: Kubernetes or container orchestration experience; AWS experience.
