I don't want a generic bookkeeper. I want someone who's worked inside affiliate — at a network, an agency, or a media buying shop — and already knows how this world's money flows. You know what a scrub is. You know why RT-reported revenue never matches network-reported revenue never matches what hits the bank. You know how to chase an affiliate manager for a missing $120K payout without burning the relationship.

Strong accounting fundamentals — degree, CPA, or equivalent experience
3+ years doing real reconciliation work, not just data entry
Excellent written and spoken English
Comfortable in spreadsheets at a high level (pivot tables, lookups, basic automation). SQL or Python a plus but not required Comfortable vibe coding with Claude and using AI agents to move faster — we expect our finance person to be building small tools, scripts, and dashboards with AI, not waiting on a developer Proactive — you find problems and fix them without being asked
Honest and detail-obsessed

You'll be the person who makes sure every dollar is accounted for — from ad spend going out to affiliate revenue coming in, across multiple networks, trackers, and bank accounts. Right now we have gaps: revenue that goes untracked, payouts that get missed, reconciliation that isn't happening weekly. Your job is to fix that and build the systems so it doesn't happen again.

Liminal Ads is a performance marketing company running large-scale paid traffic across multiple verticals. We're hiring a full-time finance controller to own the books end-to-end.

Our revenue is heavily affiliate-driven — we run traffic to offers on networks like ClickBank, Digistore24, and similar platforms, as well as running lead gen and pay-per-call campaigns through Ringba. That means tracking payouts across a lot of different networks, payout schedules, currencies, and tracking tools. Familiarity with this world is a big plus.
