About the role
We're pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist, located at a private hospital in Melbourne.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
What you'll be doing
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for various nuclear medicine imaging procedures
  • Operate gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to patient examinations and procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results
  • Participate in the maintenance and quality control of nuclear medicine equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with latest developments in nuclear medicine technology and techniques
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting- IV cannulation competent
  • Proficient in operating gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment
  • Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to put patients at ease and address their needs
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
