As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for various nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Operate gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to patient examinations and procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results
- Participate in the maintenance and quality control of nuclear medicine equipment
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in nuclear medicine technology and techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting- IV cannulation competent
- Proficient in operating gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, and other nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to put patients at ease and address their needs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
