Description (EN)

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well
you might just be in the right place!

We are looking for a Hardware Product Manager to own and evolve the hospitality or retail hardware portfolio and end-to-end merchant experience (choose, buy, receive, set up, operate, replace), ensuring the right form factors exist, work reliably, and ship profitably across regions.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Own the hospitality or retail hardware portfolio end-to-end—what we sell, where we sell it, and how it evolves over time (launch → scale → lifecycle management → deprecation).
  • Define and land a multi-quarter roadmap aligned to the broader Hardware strategy, manage dependencies, and drive delivery to measurable outcomes.
  • Lead new initiatives through the full lifecycle: discovery → PRDs/requirements → vendor selection → validation/testing → launch → iteration and in-field support.
  • Spend time with merchants (owners/managers/staff) to uncover workflow friction and translate insights into roadmap priorities.
  • Drive supplier accountability across feature set, quality, cost, and lead times, using field signals (RMAs/tickets) to close the loop on corrective actions.
  • Lead by influence teams across Product, Design, Hardware Ops, Support, GTM, Finance, and Legal to execute launches cleanly and improve portfolio profitability.

What you’ll be bringing to the team

  • 5+ years as a Product Manager in a hardware or hardware-enabled SaaS environment (devices/peripherals/accessories), with at least 1–2 launches shipped end-to-end
  • Demonstrated ownership of the full hardware lifecycle: Discovery → Requirements → Selection → Testing→ Launch → Iteration → Deprecation
  • Direct experience Hospitality workflows: Payments, POS, Mobile POS, Kitchen Display Systems, Kiosk, Networking
  • Cross-functional leadership across Product, Design, Ops/Supply Chain, Support, GTM

Who you are

  • Extreme ownership: the ability to work autonomously, takes initiative and assumes responsibility when “grey” areas are present
  • Product sense: the ability to use merchant empathy and engagement, gains insights that converts into an impactful product spec
  • Data-driven decision making (unit economics, cohort analysis)
  • Excellent communicator, ensures all stakeholders remain updated without prompting
  • Bias for measurable outcomes
  • Practical understanding of hardware constraints (manufacturing, reliability, packaging, compliance)
  • Strength to challenge the status quo

What’s in it for you?

Come live the Lightspeed experience...

  • Lots of autonomy, flexible work culture and the option of fully remote work
  • Genuine career opportunities in a company that’s creating new jobs every day
  • Opportunity to make a difference; help merchants grow their businesses and become more successful by creating or improving products and addressing customer feedback
  • Work in a team big enough for growth but lean enough to make a real impact
  • Development of very high traffic products, used at the global scale
  • Opportunities to learn and expand your skill set
  • Become a valued part of the diverse and inclusive Lightspeed family

and enjoy a range of benefits that’ll keep you happy, healthy and (not) hungry:

  • Lightspeed equity scheme (we are all owners)
  • Flexible paid time off policy
  • Extended Healthcare benefits
  • Health and wellness benefit of $500 per year
  • Paid leave and assistance for new parents
  • Mental health online platform and counseling & coaching services
  • Volunteer day

  • As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
