Full-time Native English Teacher at a Japanese Nursery in Tokyo

Clantete Mita is a Montessori nursery school that opened in 2013. We are a member of the Gakken Group, one of Japan's leading educational publishing and learning materials companies. We have English lessons as part of our daily curriculum and English activities such as science, simplified programming, and games a few times a week in the afternoons. We are looking for a bright, energetic native-level English speaker to join our team as soon as possible. Your role includes teaching English to children ages 1 to 2 (toddlers) or 3 to 5 (preschoolers), as well as supporting Japanese nursery staff with childcare duties. The younger children may require more personal care, such as assisting with handwashing or changing clothes. The ideal candidate is friendly, cheerful, and enthusiastic, loves working with young children, and enjoys making learning fun. You'll work alongside supportive Japanese staff in a friendly and collaborative environment, and on-the-job training will be provided to help you settle into your role. Applicants must speak native-level English and be eligible to work in Japan. ◆Working Hours Shifts are scheduled between 8 am and 7 pm. Actual working hours are 8 hours a day (including 1 hour break), Monday to Friday. Saturday meeting/training once a month with compensatory day off (daikyu). ◆Holidays Saturdays (or corresponding daikyu), Sundays, and public holidays. 10 days of paid leave (after 6 months). 5 days of summer leave, winter holiday. ◆Requirements ・Love working with young children ・Enjoy singing, dancing, and playing with children every day. ・Speak native-level English ・Speak conversation-level Japanese to communicate with Japanese staff ◆Qualifications/ Skills: (these are preferable but not required) ・Teaching license for nursery school, kindergarten, elementary school, or any child care license. ・Experience working at pre-school, after-school or English conversation school ◆Salary / Benefits Full-time position from as soon as possible. ・Monthly Salary: ¥240,000 to ¥288,000 (Negotiable depending on experience） ・Transportation allowance ・Visa sponsorship available ・Social insurance including health, pension, and employment insurance. ・Summer and winter bonuses *Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates currently residing in Japan.
