The opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Finance APAC, the Senior Manager of FP&A will play a pivotal business partnering role and will provide financial direction to senior leadership for the region, while providing leadership on forecasting, business planning, management reporting, business analytics activities along with ad hoc projects when needed. A hands-on and thoughtful team player who can build and oversee the tools and processes to help us scale for the future. He/she will also bring a strong analytical toolset, and experience in managing the planning activities of a global matrix organization. This role also helps to build financial literacy among the APAC Leadership Team with transparency and accountability for driving profitability and opportunity, and ensure that finance is seen as a value-added business partner.
You will:
- Be the business partner for a number of countries within APAC, to support key business decisions and evaluate progress as well as own a number of initiatives across the region such as OPEX and productivity measurement and tracking
- Manage and participate in the analysis and interpretation of operating results. Preparation of executive reports, review of financial, commercial and operational, and financial analysis of various contemplated actions.
- Conduct financial modelling and business cases to understand and evaluate key business drivers for investment decisions.
- Own Financial Forecasting and Budgeting for the areas of your responsibility
- Assist leadership to identify strategic initiatives and coordinate projects to address opportunities and risks.
- Recommend changes or develop frameworks that optimize for the overall health of the business.
- Drive continuous improvement of a cohesive finance function to produce innovation in reporting, planning and analysis.
- Leverage modern AI assistants (e.g. Claude, Gemini) and SQL-based data pipelines to streamline forecasting, management reporting, and ad-hoc analysis — reducing manual cycle time and freeing capacity for higher-value business partnering.
- Build and maintain reusable tools, templates, and automated workflows that scale the finance function and improve both speed and accuracy of reporting.
- Work closely with various finance functions across different regions and to contribute ideas and drive changes where necessary.
- Develop ad-hoc reports and analysis to support strategic planning as needed.
You should have:
- 8-10 years of progressive professional experience with increasing responsibility, scope and leadership in FP&A function.
- Experience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various leadership levels.
- Strong problem-solving ability combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate clearly and influence leadership teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills and drive to deep dive into the key drivers of each problem.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and Google applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google sheets)
- Hands-on experience using modern AI assistants (e.g. Claude, Gemini) to automate financial analysis, reporting, and modelling — including writing effective prompts and critically validating AI-generated outputs before they reach leadership.
- Strong SQL proficiency for querying and analysing large datasets directly from data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker).
- Extremely comfortable with demonstrated experience in dealing with large sets of data from multiple sources
- A demonstrated bias toward automating repetitive finance processes — comfortable building scripts, workflows, or lightweight tools rather than relying on manual effort.
- Highly motivated, independent with a high level of ownership and always looking for opportunities to excel and challenge the status quo.
- Experience with reporting and planning tools including Looker, Adaptive Insights/Anaplan, and NetSuite.
- Adaptable, organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
