We use the term 'Coach' instead of 'Teacher/Instructor' as our Coaches do not drill students in grammar and phonics but use a holistic and goal-oriented approach to support our students (mainly executives and professionals) to reach their English communication goals. IDEAL COACH CANDIDATE PROFILE: Able to work from home Experienced and professional In-depth knowledge of English grammar Excellent communication and people skills Able to operate a computer and know how to use Outlook, Excel, Zoom TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Dedicated private and quiet workspace PC or Mac (laptop or desktop) A noise-cancelling computer headset with a microphone (internal or external) Webcam capability (internal or external) OPERATING SYSTEM: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS PC or Laptop: Windows 11 or Mac OS (13 Ventura/ 14 Sonoma/ 15 Sequoia/ 26 Tahoe) CPU Processor bit: min 32/64, recommended 64 CPU Processor Core: min Dual-core 2Ghz or higher, recommended Quad-core 2.5gHz or higher: Mac devices Processor: M2 chip RAM: min of 4 GB but 8 GB is preferred High-speed Internet connection (Download 15 Mbps, Upload 15 Mbps) SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: Motivating students to maximize output Coaches are generally not required to teach grammar Understanding the student’s goal and combining it with the target language Providing high-quality, level-appropriate, goal-oriented lessons Creating a welcoming environment for students to actively communicate Ensuring the customer’s experience at TORAIZ meets or exceeds their expectations Proactively communicating with team members regarding customer progress, strengths and challenges, and program/lesson material recommendations TORAIZ does not accept applications from those with a Working Holiday, Student, or Tourist Visa. WORK SCHEDULE: As our students are busy professionals, most classes are on Monday to Saturday: 06:00 - 08:55AM & Monday to Saturday: 18:00 - 23:25. Applicants are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours. However, there is no specific upper limit on hours worked. Priority will be given to candidates who can commit to part or all of the following: Monday and Tuesday evenings, Monday to Friday mornings, and all day Saturday. Note: We also offer classes during typical business hours; however, these are not the core working hours. TYPES OF ONLINE LESSONS: Private Lessons: 25-minute private lesson Group Lessons: 50-minute group lesson PAYMENT: ¥1,510 per 25-minute online private lesson ¥3,020 per 50-minute online group lesson (maximum 4 students) ABOUT TORAIZ AND OUR STUDENTS: TORAIZ is on the high-end market of the English Language communication industry.
