What is an "IC3 Marketing Designer"?

We have a career progression framework that includes Individual Contributor (IC) and People Manager (PM) tracks. IC1 is a junior Marketing Designer, IC4 is a senior Marketing Designer, and IC levels 2 and 3 cover that middle area. An IC3 Marketing Designer at Charlie takes strong ownership of their output, designs with commercial intent, and collaborates cross-functionally to improve performance across the customer journey.

As a Marketing Designer you’ll be responsible for:
  • Designing and maintaining visual experiences across our blog, landing pages, organic social content and downloadable resources
  • Managing and evolving our Webflow content ecosystem, including a large library of SEO-focused pages
  • Translating marketing strategy and messaging into simple, engaging visual concepts that drive sign-ups
  • Running design-led experiments and A/B tests to improve engagement and lead generation
  • Creating scalable templates and component systems to improve efficiency and performance
  • Designing sales enablement assets and lead-generation materials that support conversion
  • Partnering closely with marketing, sales and other teams to deliver commercially impactful creative
  • Contributing new ideas for creative campaigns, growth channels and brand initiatives

Requirements You must have
  • Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and AfterEffects)
  • Experience designing digital experiences with UX/UI principles in mind
  • Working knowledge of Webflow or similar CMS / design platforms
  • A commercial mindset — you design for performance and measurable outcomes
  • The ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and compelling visual narratives
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across different functions
  • Confidence managing your own workload and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Self-awareness and humility — you know that honest feedback is how you grow, and you’re not afraid to ask for help
Let us know if you have
  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS or startup environment
  • Exposure to growth marketing experimentation or CRO testing
  • Experience designing lead-generation content such as ebooks, reports or guides
  • Experience building design systems or templated visual frameworks
  • Motion design or animation experience for digital marketing
  • Understanding of SEO-driven content strategies
  • Experience working closely with sales or revenue teams
  • An interest in workplace trends, HR tech or the future of work

Compensation Package

A benchmarked salary from £42,000 - £45,500 depending on experience and level within our progression framework.
