We’re seeking a Systems Administrator who can not only manage day-to-day operations but also take the lead on complex projects and guide clients through evolving security frameworks such as CMMC and NIST.The job is primarily remote. Primary working hours are PST time zone. Can be 100% remote if outside California.Applicants must complete the DISC+ assessment and screening questions to be considered for the position.

Compensation:

$80,000 base plus DOE

Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimize client infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), and security solutions.Lead and execute IT projects end-to-end (migrations, deployments, upgrades, cloud transitions).Implement and enforce security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, and other compliance standards across client environments.Troubleshoot escalated technical issues (L3) and mentor junior engineers.Develop and maintain documentation for client systems, policies, and procedures.Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver solutions on time and within scope.Monitor system performance and proactively address vulnerabilities, outages, or compliance gaps.Mentor junior team members and train.Assist with Cyber and IT Security deployments and remediationsWork in the Teams environment.Rotation for On-call after hours for emergencies.Being authorized to work in the US is a requirement. Expats are welcome to apply for a remote position.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in an MSP environment (preferred).Strong technical expertise in:Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy.Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune).Firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions.Hands-on experience with compliance/security frameworks (CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2).Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, or CMMC-related credentials).About Company
