Staff Software Engineer (Platform)

Chainguard is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop and maintain core infrastructure and development platform. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing core services (authentication, database, API, SDK, chainctl), and practicing continuous improvement on service deployment and monitoring. Required skills: Linux ecosystem experience, high availability distributed systems, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack), public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), software development in Python and/or Golang, B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, strong English and independent work ability in globally distributed team, supply chain security knowledge. Preferred: large golang monorepo management, Identity Providers/SSO/authentication protocols, SQL database administration, service scaling expertise, microservices/containerization (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes), Linux troubleshooting, open source interest.
