Brand Strategy Research Specialist

We are seeking a collaborative Brand Strategy & Research Specialist who excels at uncovering market and consumer insights and translating them into strategic value to support our brand growth.
In this role, you will coordinate and analyze brand measurement across all regions, serving as a core pillar for Wallapop's Brand Strategy. If you believe that research doesn't end with delivering data, but rather continues into shaping what comes next, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Depending on the project, you will partner cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing Operations, Creative, UX Research, and Paid Media.
What You Will Do 👇
- Execute Research: Develop and oversee both quantitative research (e.g., market research, brand tracking, NPS) and qualitative studies (e.g., focus groups), collaborating with external partners or managing them in-house to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Synthesize Insights: Analyze and organize macro data points, communicating them clearly to act as a central hub for identifying new opportunities and solving problems for Wallapop.
- Shape Strategy: Support the development of our Brand Strategy by providing key insights and strategic thinking. Act as a direct stakeholder for specific projects—from audience definition to building creative briefings.
- Empower Teams: Interpret and present findings to marketing stakeholders, transforming complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the UX team on cross-category projects to help create a centralized knowledge base that fuels both the marketing and product teams.
- Monitor the Market: Collaborate with the Media team to track and analyze competitor activity.
What We’re Looking For
- Research Expertise: Proven experience leading and executing quantitative market research projects end-to-end.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to look at data critically, connect disparate data points, and form a clear strategic point of view.
- Project Management: Strong coordination and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple moving parts and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Data Literacy: Proficiency in using spreadsheet tools (like Excel or Google Sheets) for professional data analysis.
- Communication & Collaboration: Professional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the interpersonal skills needed to influence cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Agility: A proactive, resourceful approach to challenges with a desire to continuously learn, grow, and adapt to shifting priorities.
What Would Be A Plus 🚀
- An academic background in Research, Marketing, Business, or a related field (equivalent practical or professional experience is equally valued).
- Experience working with cross-functional digital product or tech teams
Do note that all our jobs are 📍 Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

What does the hiring process for this position look like? 👀 **Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**
- Intro Call - run by Talent Acquisition, focus on providing more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience, motivation, and expectations. This usually takes 45-60 minutes.
- Technical Task - you will be assigned a test that consists of a coding challenge to assess the technical skills required for the role. You will have up to 7 days to complete it. If you have a recent project that meets the same requirements, you can submit it instead.
- Expertise Interview - run by the core team, focusing on the hard skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60-90 minutes.
- Stakeholder Interview - run by the hiring team and relevant stakeholders, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
- Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.
- Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
