About the Role
As Venue Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of Devil’s Corner, leading a passionate team to deliver memorable moments for every visitor. You’ll oversee every detail of the venue, from cellar door operations to the Devil’s Corner Kitchen experience, ensuring seamless integration between wine, food, and service.
Working closely with Fishers of Freycinet, you will champion a cohesive and high-quality food and wine offering that enhances the overall guest experience and reinforces Devil’s Corner as a must-visit destination on Tasmania’s East Coast.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence and engagement.
- Site Management: Ensure the venue is impeccably maintained and operates seamlessly, showcasing the best of Devil’s Corner.
- Food Partnership: Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Fishers of Freycinet, ensuring alignment in service standards, offering, and guest experience alongside the Devil’s Corner Kitchen.
- Operations Excellence: Oversee daily activities, from cellar door service to events, ensuring top-notch hospitality and smooth logistics.
- Financial Acumen: Develop budgets, manage the P&L, and identify growth opportunities that align with our strategic goals.
- Stock Control & Accountability: Maintain accurate stock control systems across beverage and retail, ensuring accountability, minimising variance, and supporting strong cost management.
- Customer Experience: Deliver engaging, memorable brand experiences that connect guests to our wines, people, and place.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Skills And Experiences
About You
You’re a hospitality trailblazer with at least 8 years of management experience in tourism, hospitality, or marketing. You bring strong operational expertise, commercial savvy, and a hands-on approach to leadership. Your passion for customer experiences and local food and wine culture sets you apart.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field.
- RSA certification and a current Driver’s License.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and travel when needed.
