HyperHug is an international game development studio specializing in the shooter genre. Our main office is based in Cyprus, but our talented team works remotely from around the world. We’re developing Oxide: Survival Island, an immersive multiplayer survival shooter for mobile platforms, and we’re always looking for motivated individuals who want to grow with us, contribute their creativity, and help shape the future of our games.

We are seeking a Game Designer to contribute to the development of our flagship game, Oxide: Survival Island. You will work across multiple layers of game design — from social features, onboarding, and progression to core gameplay improvements — while also supporting LiveOps and monetization initiatives.

We keep this role open on an ongoing basis because we’re always interested in meeting exceptional Game Designers who can make a real impact on the project.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Design and develop meta systems that drive long-term engagement, including social features (e.g., clans), FTUE/onboarding, progression, and retention mechanics.
Contribute to core gameplay design, including reworking and improving core mechanics.
Plan and support LiveOps and monetization features, including events, passes, and offers, ensuring they are well integrated into the overall game ecosystem.
Collaborate with 2D/3D art teams: define requirements, brief leads, and manage asset pipelines for in-game features and content.
Configure and implement game content in Unity.
Run A/B tests, perform basic performance analysis, and prepare insights and recommendations for future iterations.

What We Expect From You:

3+ years of experience in Game Design with a focus on mid-core/hardcore multiplayer mobile games.
Strong experience designing complex game systems.
Experience running the full LiveOps loop: events, offers, testing, scheduling, performance analysis.
Successfully shipped monetization features with measurable impact on KPIs.
Proven work in cross-functional teams: dev, art, analytics, marketing.
Extensive player experience and strong interest in the shooter genre.
English - B1+ level, Russian - C1 level.
