SaaS Platform Engineer / SaaS Service Owner

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced SaaS Platform Engineer / SaaS Service Owner who combines SaaS operations, service ownership, governance, security, resilience, vendor management, compliance, and platform engineering experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own the complete SaaS application lifecycle — onboarding, implementation, operations, renewal, and retirement.
• Act as the primary contact for SaaS vendors and suppliers.
• Manage vendor relationships, service performance, escalations, and supplier risk.
• Ensure SaaS platforms comply with security, privacy, risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Assess new SaaS solutions and support technology selection and onboarding.
• Manage operational support and ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
• Support operational resilience, recovery planning, and service continuity.
• Manage SaaS integrations, IAM, SSO, and enterprise workflows.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting technologies.
• Work with Azure and cloud-native platforms.
• Support monitoring, observability, reporting, and dashboarding.
• Manage software assets, licenses, renewals, and SaaS costs.
• Drive continuous improvement across SaaS services and operations.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SaaS Operations, Cloud Platforms, or Enterprise Application Management
• Experience managing enterprise SaaS solutions in regulated environments
• SaaS lifecycle management and service ownership experience
• Strong vendor and supplier management experience
• SaaS governance and onboarding experience
• Knowledge of IAM, SSO, SAML, OAuth2, and SCIM
• API integrations and automation
• Experience with Azure / cloud-native platforms
• Monitoring and observability experience
• Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITSM processes
• Security and vulnerability management knowledge
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar
• Reporting and dashboarding capabilities
• Understanding of GDPR, privacy, risk, security, and compliance requirements

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications
• CISSP, Security+, CCSP, or comparable security certification
• ITIL certification
• FinOps / SaaS cost optimization experience
• Experience with enterprise collaboration platforms
• Development tooling or productivity SaaS experience
• Financial services / highly regulated industry experience
