Role Overview
Our client, an established international mining company operating in Tanzania, is seeking an experienced RC Driller. The RC Driller will support large-scale surface exploration drilling programmes, delivering accurate and consistent RC samples for geological analysis. This role requires strong technical drilling skills, safe work practices and a production-driven mindset. (FIFO / Expat Assignment) – Fixed Term
Key Responsibilities
Operate Reverse Circulation (RC) drill rigs for surface exploration
Drill exploration holes to depths of 150–400 metres
Achieve daily production targets of 25–40 metres per shift
Manage compressor systems (900–1200 cfm)
Perform rod handling, hammer and bit changes and routine maintenance
Operate dust suppression systems and ensure environmental compliance
Collect samples via cyclone, conduct 1-metre composite splitting and bagging
Maintain accurate drilling logs, sample records and daily production reports
Assist with rig mobilisation, demobilisation and site setup/teardown
Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience operating RC drill rigs
Proven Reverse Circulation exploration drilling experience (mandatory)
Experience with surface drilling operations in remote locations
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of drilling equipment
Ability to work in hot climates and rotational schedules
