Experienced Business English Coach (Tokyo)

[QUALIFICATIONS] - 3+ years of experience teaching Business English - Strong fundamentals (language knowledge, business knowledge, teaching methodology) - Experience teaching all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) - Previous corporate work experience strongly preferred - Experience integrating digital/AI tools into learning is a plus - Currently residing in Japan preferred [ABOUT ANCHORSTAR] Anchorstar is a boutique advisory firm helping Japanese companies expand globally and global companies succeed in Japan. [MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES] - Work 1:1 with clients - Conduct lessons on-site at client offices (Tokyo area) three days per week - Integrate AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion) into lesson delivery and student reflection - Collaborate closely with the coaching team to design and refine our programs, actively sharing insights from client sessions to help evolve Anchorstar English's products, content, and curriculum [REQUIREMENTS: PLEASE READ] - Must be able to inspire, educate, listen and coach - Must be curious, adaptable, and comfortable working with emerging tools and ideas - Must be organized, reliable, and detail-oriented - Must have a positive outlook and be a team player - Must possess strong business knowledge, cultural intelligence and a global mindset - Must have an entrepreneurial spirit—always driving, growing and moving forward - Must be comfortable experimenting, reflecting, and iterating in environments where the “right answer” is not always clear - Must be excited about reimagining traditional language-learning experience in the age of AI [HOURS] - Working Days: Monday to Friday - General Working Hours: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm - Teaching Days: 3 days at the client site (1 day = 1 client site) - Weekends and public holidays are off (as per calendar) - Holiday Schedule: Generally follows clients' calendar. Time off during Golden Week, Obon, and New Year depends on the client. Christmas is usually a regular working day.
