Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on software management, compliance, employee support, recruitment and retention strategies to ensure our school remains a top choice for talented professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for creating a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Assist with payroll coordination and benefits administration.
Contribute to policy development and continuous process improvement.
Talent Acquisition:
Manage end-to-end recruitment for academic and non-academic positions.
Develop and implement strategies to attract high-quality international school staff.
Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes.
Employee Support:
Serve as a trusted point of contact for staff inquiries and HR-related concerns.
Ensure compliance with Japanese labor laws and school policies.
Facilitate orientation programs and professional development initiatives.
Retention & Engagement:
Design and execute employee engagement programs.
Monitor staff satisfaction and recommend improvements.
Support performance management and career development pathways.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of HR experience, preferably in an international or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law and HR compliance.
Excellent communication skills in English (Japanese proficiency is a plus).
Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
What We Offer
Salary: ¥300,000 - ¥400,000/month (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
40 hours per week
