Vernon or Evansville IN areas, or willing to relocate. IAG will provide a full relocation package for individuals or families. This is a full-time opportunity with IAG, onsite with our client. Minimal travel.

Position Summary:
The Facility API Inspector/Level II Technician is responsible for onsite inspections of vessels, tanks, and piping for the customer. The inspector will have partial responsibility to maintain a chemical piping program within depth knowledge of interpreting P&ID’s and flow diagrams. The goal of the Inspector/Technician is Operation Excellence and Technical Quality.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve a large database of piping and equipment.
- Review and inspect piping and vessels
- Provide supervision as needed for fellow technicians and cad department.
- This Role includes delivery of services on time, safety and with the highest quality possible.
- Where qualifies the position supports training, Technique development, and delivery of specialized services utilizing automated and computerized inspection systems.
- Customer service oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Actively participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
- Communicates with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
- All other duties as assigned.
Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem Solving
- Review and make recommendations based on technicians or your field reporting.
- Use Inspection databases including PS Aim and SAP.
- Must be able to climb ladders and carry inspection equipment.
- Must be comfortable in confined spaces.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Experience with isometric drawing of piping systems
- Supervise fellow technicians as needed.
- Experience in a customer service focused organization.
- Strong customer service communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Work independently, in a safe and effective manner with minimal direction and supervision in a procedure driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Management Responsibilities
- Ability to supervise and manage technicians as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)
- Technical Degree or equivalent experience
- LII NDT certification
- API 570 and API-510
- 3 years in the industry
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a Background Security check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit/stand for long periods of time; routinely walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift push, pull and/or move more than 50 pounds occasionally.
- The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Double hearing protection is occasionally required.
- The position consists of a standard 40-hour workweek, with overtime as the customer requires and during turnaround periods. Minimum travel is required.
- Must be comfortable in confined spaces and willing to wear SCBA (Self containing breathing apparatus) on a semi-routine basis.
