The company
Barrington James are have been retained by a leading international Biopharma company with their headquarters located in Paris, France. The company have a vast array of commercialised products and a healthy and ever growing pipeline of assets across a range of therapeutic areas with a particular focus within Oncology and Neurology.
The role
This is a highly visible, genuinely impactful role that sits on the leadership team of the central Global Regulatory function. The Head of Regulatory Policy & Intelligence is expected to lead the RPI activity across Europe, the US and APAC regions including the line management of a small team. You’ll provide leadership to ensure a science and risk based approach to inform decision making on current and future R&D projects considering the ever evolving regulatory environment.
In summary, this person will be responsible for ensuring that the business is aware of and prepared for upcoming regulatory changes, as well as having input into what those future changes might look like through representing the company and industry to the various global health authorities.
- Lead the Global Regulatory Policy & Intelligence function
- Ensure matter of strategic interest are identified, analyzed for impact and considered for the R&D group and wider business decisions.
- Draw on existing expertise and resources throughout the business as well as developing external resources, lead the forward-leaning voice for global Regulatory matters.
- Ensure regulatory intelligence is gathered, assimilated, analyzed and communicated on key regulatory matters.
- Lead primary liaisons with Health Authorities and Trade Associations on Regulatory policy discussions.
- Optimize the use of tools for information sharing on Regulatory Policy & Intelligence Matters throughout Servier.
- Seek opportunities and lead initiatives for efficiency and effectiveness across the business for shared tools and information sharing.
- Provide leadership, oversight, direction for regulatory trends for the business within the scope of the Global Regulatory function.
- Lead the global Regulatory Intelligence Group (gathering corporate competitive intelligence, EU Public Affairs, SME’s) to align company position regarding policy evolutions and define policy positions.
The person
- 10 + years of experience in a direct or closely related Regulatory Policy & Intelligence position in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
- Degree in relevant scientific discipline. Ideally MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD.
- Fluent in English (French not essential)
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated long term level vision.
- Demonstrated success working within Regulatory policy and intelligence function.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global regulatory procedures and requirements throughout product development.
- Strong leadership skills and experience, both in terms of direct line management and the ability to lead and guide other areas of the business that do not directly report into you.
