Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing Burlington, NC Area

A growing food manufacturing company seeks Production Supervisors to lead operations across multiple production areas. We're expanding our state-of-the-art facility and need experienced leaders for both day and night shifts.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $75,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience

  • Night shift premium: Additional 10% for night shift roles

  • Relocation assistance available up to $7,500

  • Comprehensive benefits package

Schedule:

  • 2-2-3 rotation (12-hour shifts)

  • Night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Weekend coverage required

  • 24/7 operation with only 4 facility closure days per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of 20+ production associates

  • Drive safety, quality, and productivity metrics

  • Oversee high-speed automated production and packaging operations

  • Maintain food safety and quality standards

  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance

  • Manage shift startups, changeovers, and daily production scheduling

  • Execute continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and GMP/FSMA practices

  • Coach and develop team members

  • Coordinate cross-training and skill development programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience, OR

  • Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience without degree

  • Experience in automated food manufacturing, consumer goods (FMCG/CPG), pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environment

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly automated systems

  • Proven track record of team leadership and development

  • Experience with quality systems and food safety protocols

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; SAP experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food/beverage manufacturing supervision

  • Experience with automated production equipment

  • Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements

  • Track record of improving operational metrics

  • History of successful team development
