Windows Administrator

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Windows Administrator to manage and maintain enterprise Windows-based server infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Windows environments across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Windows Server Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
• Ensure stability, availability, and performance of server infrastructure
• Perform system hardening and standard configuration management

2. Active Directory & Identity Management

• Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) environments
• Configure and support Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Manage user access, authentication, and directory services

3. Patch & System Management

• Perform regular patching and updates for Windows servers
• Ensure systems are compliant with security policies
• Monitor and resolve system vulnerabilities and issues

4. Virtualization & Infrastructure

• Manage virtualization platforms such as:

VMware

Hyper-V

• Support virtual machine provisioning, optimization, and maintenance

5. Backup & Recovery

• Manage backup solutions and ensure data protection
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution
• Ensure system recoverability and business continuity

6. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor system performance and availability
• Troubleshoot Windows server issues and incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures

7. Security & Compliance

• Ensure Windows infrastructure complies with security standards
• Apply best practices for system security and access control
• Support audit and compliance requirements

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience as a Windows Administrator / Windows Engineer
• Deep expertise in Windows Server environments
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization
• Experience in patch management and system updates
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
