Manager Papua New Guinea

We are seeking a Technical Manager – AI & IVMS to manage the deployment, integration, and performance of AI-powered fatigue, distraction, and proximity detection systems across mining and industrial fleets. Initially led by an expatriate, the role includes a structured mentorship and handover program to develop a PNG national successor. This position is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on professional who thrives in both engineering and leadership environments.

• Supervise installation, commissioning, and technical integration of AI and IVMS systems across vehicle fleets

• Ensure seamless data integration with MST dashboards and Power BI reporting platforms

• Provide advanced troubleshooting, calibration, and vendor liaison for AI and proximity systems

• Develop and enforce technical SOPs while ensuring compliance with mine site HSE standards

• Lead field-based technicians and coordinate multi-site deployment schedules

• Mentor PNG national engineers and technicians to ensure sustainable long-term operations and local capability

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering

• 5–10 years' experience in IVMS, AI telematics, proximity detection, or industrial automation systems

• Proven experience supervising complex technical projects in mining, oil & gas, or heavy transport environments

• Strong understanding of AI fatigue cameras, MDVR systems, radar sensors, and telemetry networks

• Excellent leadership and coaching skills with a commitment to capability transfer and mentoring local staff
