Description (EN)

PMG Solutions is supporting a newly established aerospace company entering the European market,

which is developing a niche clean sheet aircraft of strategic importance. They are seeking a Lead

Structural Design Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and development of

aerostructures for this specialised program. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to an aircraft type

that is seldom designed, with a strong emphasis on robustness and reliability over the latest technology

trends.

You will lead a dedicated team handling aerostructures design, material selection, structural analysis,

and industrialisation activities within the aerospace domain.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in aerospace engineering with a focus on aerostructures design and

analysis.

• Recent, demonstrable experience working on CS-25 certified aircraft (mandatory).

• Strong proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX) and structural analysis methods.

• Fluency in English (essential); B1 level or above in French (advantageous).

• Solid expertise in aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).

• Existing right to live and work in France; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Full-time on-site availability in Istres, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of aerostructure components and assemblies, optimising for

reliability, performance, weight, and manufacturability.

• Perform structural analyses and calculations to validate strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and

damage tolerance.

• Select appropriate materials and collaborate with manufacturing and industrialisation teams to

ensure feasible, repeatable production.

• Oversee integration and testing of aerostructure components, including static, dynamic, and

fatigue test campaigns.

• Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace regulatory standards and internal quality

processes.

• Mentor and guide team members while contributing to efficient methods, tools, and best

practices.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, prepare clear technical

documentation, and support key program milestones.

If you meet the criteria and are motivated by the chance to play a key role in a strategically important,

rarely undertaken aircraft program, we encourage you to apply.

Interviews are being arranged on an ongoing basis, so this is an excellent moment to join an emerging European aerospace player and help shape a unique clean sheet aircraft project.
