AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. AlphaGov is engaging a Composting & Organics Feasibility Consultant for current county work. A county is studying source-separated organics for its composting facility.
We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
What you'll do
- Characterize organic waste streams and collection options
- Evaluate composting/anaerobic digestion technologies and facility capacity
- Build cost, revenue, and market analyses
- Review permitting and recommend implementation
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements
Required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in solid waste or organics management planning
- Composting or organics facility feasibility experience
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant
Nice to have
- NYSDEC Part 360/361 experience
- PE
- US Composting Council certification
