Mission
Supervise, plan, and control preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance activities on rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes) to ensure their availability, reliability, and safety, while guaranteeing compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Supervision and Organization
- Lead and coordinate teams of technicians and team leaders in charge of expertise, dismantling, reassembly, and testing of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, etc.).
- Plan, organize, and control preventive and corrective maintenance operations together with the Workshop Manager.
- Allocate human and material resources according to priorities, in coordination with the Workshop Manager.
- Ensure effective communication between teams and the Workshop Manager.
Technical Follow-up
- Guarantee the technical compliance of interventions on pumps, compressors, and gearboxes in accordance with API 610 / 682 standards and client requirements.
- Inspect the quality of mechanical works (alignment, balancing, diagnostics) carried out by Team Leaders and Technicians.
- Identify and analyze recurring failures; propose corrective action plans.
- Monitor the condition of spare parts and consumable stocks, anticipating critical needs.
- Receive and inspect spare parts provided by clients and/or the Procurement Department.
- Use and update the CMMS/SAP system to plan and track maintenance activities.
Management & Reporting
- Prepare and validate detailed technical reports after interventions, including equipment data, metrology/balancing reports, final test results, photos, observations, and recommendations.
- Report to the Workshop Manager on maintenance performance and key findings.
- Ensure full documentation traceability (reports, reception forms, entry/exit notes).
- Supervise and contribute to the skills development of Team Leaders and Technicians (training, mentoring).
HSE & Quality
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and work permits.
- Guarantee the correct use of PPE/EPC by all personnel.
- Identify risks related to mechanical operations and propose corrective measures.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality within the teams.
- Encourage continuous improvement within the workshop (methods, best practices, etc.).
Profile Required
Education
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanics (Bac+2 to Bac+3 level or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Proven experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes).
- 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Offshore environments is highly valued.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in maintenance techniques (inspection, dismantling, assembly, balancing, testing) for rotating equipment and mechanical seals.
- Sound knowledge of API tolerances.
- Proficiency in measurement tools, metrology, alignment, balancing, and vibration diagnostics.
- Ability to analyze recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions.
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Good command of CMMS software (SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong organizational skills, rigor, and ability to set priorities.
- Good communication skills and adaptability in multicultural environments.
- Technical English (spoken and written).
