As a Charge Nurse at Community Health System, you oversee daily clinical operations and support your care team to ensure safe, high quality patient care. You serve as the main liaison for your assigned area, working with physicians, staff, patients and families. You’ll coordinate patient flow, guide staff assignments and take responsibility for patient safety, quality and regulatory activities across the unit. You lead with purpose, grow your leadership skills and make a visible impact every shift, supported by a team that values your voice, your judgment and your commitment to excellent care.
Education
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 2 years of experience as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum of 35 points on the RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
- 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN, or in a team leadership role required
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
