Germany without a sponsor
Most jobs here don't mention visa sponsorship. In Germany that matters less than in the UK or US: there is no sponsor licence. With a qualifying job offer, you apply for the work visa yourself at a German mission. The employer fills in a job declaration and must be willing to wait for it.
- EU Blue Card needs a recognised degree and a job offer of at least 6 months. 2026 minimum gross salary: €50,700 a year, or €45,934.20 for IT specialists, shortage occupations and recent graduates (with Federal Employment Agency approval). IT specialists without a degree need 3 years of IT experience in the last 7.
- Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) lets you look for work for up to a year without a job offer, with a qualification recognised in Germany, or a qualification from your home country plus basic language skills (A1 German or B2 English) and 6 points (qualification, experience, languages, age). You must show €1,091 a month to support yourself (2026) and may work up to 20 hours a week. Of 11,497 cards issued by 15 June 2025, 3,721 went through German missions in India.
Our visa labels don't change: a job without a visa signal has not said it sponsors visas, and nothing here means you qualify. Not legal advice; check the official pages below.
