How does the UK Skilled Worker visa work?
Your employer must be a licensed visa sponsor. You need a confirmed job offer at a minimum salary threshold (£38,700/year from 2024, or the 'going rate' for the occupation). The visa is typically granted within 3–8 weeks once all documents are ready.

Can I bring my family on the Skilled Worker visa?
Yes. Your spouse and children under 18 can join you on a Dependant visa. Your spouse can also work in the UK without restrictions. After 5 years on the Skilled Worker visa, you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).
