Working in Singapore

Possible country route: Employment Pass. An employer or employment agent applies. Salary, qualifications and the COMPASS framework may apply; an advertised relocation perk is not approval.

Online Employment Pass applications are processed or receive an update within 10 business days. Extra checks can extend this; pass issuance is a separate step.

What to check before applying
  1. Ask the employer to assess eligibility. Check current salary and COMPASS requirements on MOM.
  2. Employer submits the application. Confirm required documents and any recruitment advertising obligations.
  3. Wait for in-principle approval. Follow entry and pass issuance instructions rather than assuming the application permits work.

Lead the global Intra Trades Stowage organisation across Intra-Asia, Intra-Europe and Intra-America feeder networks. You will shape the strategic direction of stowage operations and enable safe, efficient and commercially optimised solutions that improve vessel utilisation, customer outcomes and sustainable business performance.

We offer

At Maersk, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning and we work hard to ensure that the people in our organisation reflect and understand the customers we exist to serve.

With over 100,000 employees across 130 countries, we work together to shape the future of global trade and logistics.

Key responsibilities

Lead the global Intra Trades Stowage organization to deliver safe, efficient, and commercially optimized stowage solutions across Intra-Asia, Intra-Europe, and Intra-America feeder networks. Drive operational excellence, capability development, innovation, and stakeholder alignment to maximize vessel utilization, customer outcomes, and sustainable business performance.

• Define and execute the mid- and long-term vision, strategy and performance objectives for Intra Trades Stowage in partnership with the Global Stowage Leadership Team.

• Own network performance, vessel utilisation, cargo intake, cost efficiency, planning productivity, safety and regulatory compliance.

• Lead innovation and change, including technology adoption, new ways of working and policy implementation.

• Align stakeholders across regions, functions, terminal operators, vessel-sharing partners and industry forums to deliver strategic outcomes.

• Maintain effective organisation design, business continuity, policy compliance and succession pipelines.

• Build an inclusive, high-performing culture and lead, coach and develop stowage managers and their teams.

• Oversee resource allocation and team workplans across people, technology and financial resources.

• Drive process optimisation, waste elimination and continuous improvement across the global operation.

 We’re looking for

• Considerable experience leading leaders and managing global, cross-cultural and virtual teams.

• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable operational outcomes.

• Strong understanding of vessel characteristics, feeder network design and terminal operations; central stowage planning experience is advantageous.

• Proven capability in performance management, organisational change and senior stakeholder communication.

• A collaborative and influential leadership style, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and remain hands-on when needed.

• Strong ownership, accountability and alignment with Maersk values.

• Must have valid work authorization for the role location.
